Commissioner of Revenue


The Commissioner of the Revenue is a Constitutional Officer who is elected to a four year term and serves at the pleasure of the voters. The Commissioner is the chief assessing officer of the locality. The Commissioner of Revenue is responsible for ensuring equitable application of the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and ordinances of the County of Bath directed by the Code of Virginia.

The Bath County Commissioner of Revenue office will begin processing income taxes on January 29, 2018. Hours for income tax processing will be Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. thru 4 p.m. Identification is required under new IRS regulations. State ID or Driver's license are acceptable.
